BISCA

Bisca were formed in the 80s in the independent underground musical fabric of the Neapolitan area with nowave-style sounds, mixing jazz, funk, punk and free improvisation.
Their live performances have always been of great impact, mixing multimedia with pure and technically arranged sounds, with clearly "position and op-position" lyrics and this has given them a cult band status from the very first steps.
They also had great success in Europe, including Austria, Hungary, Switzerland, France where they remained for a while.
Numerous collaborations followed over the years: Caparezza, Almamegretta, Piero Pelu', Daniele Sepe, 11 studio albums and they are still productive today with singles and EPs. Any definition of genre is strict for Bisca, their sound has been pursued and consolidated over a long and tumultuous experience, but the ingredient always remains the same: black music, sax with drums, polyrhythm and rock/punk elements.
